Parking when visiting our home at Smyrna

Residential Car Park
A residential car park is located to the south of the building, adjacent to the side/accessible entrance.

When using this car park, please park only in the designated bays and be mindful of other users. Vehicles must not block access to other parked cars at any time, even briefly, as you will be asked to move.

The yellow hatched area near the ramp and side entrance to Smyrna must remain clear at all times. This area serves as:
- A fire exit
- An accessible entrance for those who require step-free access
- A convenient entrance for all visitors

Please note that the front steps can be challenging to use, including for some able-bodied visitors.

The red hatched areas must also be kept clear at all times. Parking is strictly prohibited in these areas.

On-Street Parking
Additional on-street parking is available close to the building where there are no double yellow lines, including along Aberfan Road near the main entrance.

Further parking can also be found to the south of the venue, opposite Walters Terrace.

Accessible Parking
There are currently no designated accessible parking spaces serving either Smyrna or the neighbouring properties.

Public Transport

Bus stops and service
Smyrna is served by the number 81 bus route from Merthyr Tydfil Main Bus Station. A bus stop is located opposite the entrance to the Smyrna car park.
An additional bus stop can also be found further north, near the Wye Fish Bar also known as 'Aberfan Central'.

Train Station
Merthyr Vale Train Station is the nearest station to Smyrna. You can visit Trainline for live departure and arrival information, as well as details on station accessibility and facilities.
There are several walking routes available between the station and Smyrna.
