Taff Rocks are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with the facilitating community workshops and events.

Purpose of the role:
To co-deliver / co-facilitate an engaging and varied programme of creative activities, based around rocks and art stones, that contributes to, and enhances our service users experience and wellbeing.
Key tasks:
- To assist with setting up, clearing away and deep cleaning before and after workshops, classes and seminars.
- To co-facilitate activities that cater to our service users ranging from free-style rock painting workshops to structured classes and seminars. Please note, we welcome ideas for new activities!
- To provide social support to service users - a welcome, a cup of tea / coffee and a chat.
- To sensitively encourage our service users to participate confidently in activities offered.
- To assist service users with inspiration and ideas. Our reference library will be available to you and our service users.
- To make suggestions for new activities and to support service users to put forward their ideas and suggestions.
- To work as part of the team in order to provide better and fairer service to our service users, their families and the wider community.
- To respect peoples' differences and actively encourage equality of opportunity in all areas of the role.
- To ensure a safe environment for service users, colleagues and visitors in accordance with Taff Rocks' Health and Safety Policies.
- To report concerns about wellbeing of service users to the Trustees.
- To adhere to Taff Rocks policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines at all times, in particular confidentiality and information sharing.
- To work within agreed professional boundaries at all times.
- To maintain quality standards in every area of the role. To make user of support and supervision.
- To attend meetings.
- Flexibility - to carry out any other activities and duties that may be reasonably required in line with your main duties.

Where:
Initially, Aberfan and Merthyr Vale with a view to extending throughout the Merthyr Tydfil area.
When:
First Tuesday of every month, 5.30pm to 8.30pm
Other times as trustees require with prior arrangements
