Word Rocks

Raise your hands all those that don't paint rocks because they "can't draw" or are "no good at art"?

Not my words, but these are just two reasons so many give for not painting rocks. This idea you might have need not exclude you. We can all take part.

You will have read, in most places, especially here, that you don't have to be a Van Gogh or a Picasso. Painting and drawing come with practice so why not consider simple little words? These can bring happiness and smiles to finders and seekers just as much as a landscape scene on a rock.

Simple, positive and encouraging words are all that's needed. Check places like Pintrest, InstagramGoogle and things you see each day.  Also, check out a few examples from our our members at the bottom of the page.

If you need help starting out, check out this link on How To Prepare And Paint Rocks

On our FAQ page, you will find sourcing, decorating, sealing and hiding your works of rock art when complete.

If you're stuck for ideas, our Facebook group has Inspirational Events and, if there are no events due, check out the 365 Day Rock Painting Challenge post for ideas.

On our Facebook Group, you will find that we can help out with suggestions, why not join us?

We look forward to seeing you x

Check out a member-written story here, she also suggested she couldn't paint
